Capital Funding

Capital Funding provides oversight of the University's capital funding and budgeting to support the University's capital plan.

Capital Projects are generally improvement projects that cost over $1M. These projects need to be presented and approved by the Board of Trustees on the University’s current Capital Plan. The Capital Plan shows the funding sources for the projects.  Any capital project over $10M must be individually presented to the Board of Trustees with more in-depth detail.  These sizable projects must be approved individually by the Board of Trustees.

Budgeting for the revenue and expenses of each capital project requires the Capital Accountant to communicate and work with the unit.

Funding for capital projects goes through Treasury to assure funds are available.

Functions of the Capital Funding process are under the supervision of the Directory of the Treasury
