The Tax Office is responsible for supporting the University’s compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax laws and regulations. The department provides guidance and support on a wide range of tax-related matters, including payroll taxation, withholding and reporting requirements, sales and use tax, unrelated business income tax, and international tax compliance. The Tax Office works with units across Penn State to promote consistent tax practices and support the University’s financial, research, and educational activities.
